Adoption Timeline- A & E

March 2012- First Home Study Visit
March 2012- July 2012- Paper chasing and completing our home study!!
August 2012- Jim & I travel to Africa
August 3, 2012- Paperwork turned into the orphanage
August 17th 2012- Paperwork turned into our lawyer
October 2012- Decide to move over to Africa in the summer of 2013
January 2013- Emailed the orphanage to let them know we are moving- still no update on the review of our documents
January 2013- Officially APPROVED to adopt from our orphanage- on the WAIT LIST and waiting for our referral!!
April 2013- sent our I600a to USCIS
May 2013- USCIS fingerprints
May 2013- have to update our home study and send it back to USCIS
June 2013- Home study update sent back to USCIS- waiting...again :)
August 2013- Moved to Uganda
September 2013- remained on wait list for orphanage but due to circumstances took custody and began the guardianship process for two week old little girl!
February 2014: Took custody of our little girls brother!
June 2014: Court date
July 2014: Granted custody of our SON and DAUGHTER!
September 6, 2014: Home FOREVER!
